About NEKC :: Season - 1

NEKC - National Electric Kart Championship Season I was organized at RKDF University Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 20th – 23rd March 2020. A total number of 50 teams register for the pilot season for the event, out of which 24 teams were able to qualify the virtual round of the event and 18 teams were able to make it to main dynamic event. All the teams who qualified for the event were from some of the reputed institutions of our country. Moreover we witnessed teams from different parts of the country with about 500 participants present at the event venue.

Being the Pilot season the teams showed great skills and competition in all the phases of the event. Each day teams fought hard to qualify different dynamic rounds of the event such as Technical Inspection, Brake test, Skid pad, Autocross and Drag Race as to stay in the competition for the final day. On the final day, only 12 teams out of 18 teams were able to take part in the Endurance test, among which Team BVB Electromacs from B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology ( Now KLE Technological University) emerged as Overall Winner of the Event and Team Vidyut Drifters from Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon emerged as Overall runner up of the event.

The Overall prize money distributed among the winning teams was about 2.25 lacs. The total amount was awarded to the winning teams in different categories.
